Frequently Asked Questions

Can I write an NFC tag from my phone without installing an app?
Yes. The tool uses the Web NFC interface: open the page in Chrome 89+ on an Android phone, enter your content and touch the tag with the phone. No app install, no registration, no limits.
Can I write NFC tags with an iPhone?
No. Safari does not support Web NFC, so an iPhone cannot write tags from the browser; iPhones can only read them. Use Chrome on an Android phone with NFC hardware to write.
Can I prepare the content on a computer and write it from the phone?
Yes. Fill the form on your computer and create a link; scanning the QR code with your phone camera opens the page there already filled in. You can also load a tag you read on the phone into the form and send it to your computer as a link. The content rides after the # in the link and is never sent to the server.
Which NFC tag should I buy?
NTAG213 holds a 132-byte NDEF message, NTAG215 492 bytes, NTAG216 872 bytes. A short link fits an NTAG213; a digital business card usually needs an NTAG215. The tool shows live how many bytes your content takes and which tags it still fits.
